This joint publication from LACCEI and CONFEDI brings together 33 authors from seven countries with a fundamental objective to visualize the role of women in engineering and to motivate young women in Latin America to see engineering as a viable option in their life plans. Matilda includes anecdotes, statistics and reflections that delve into the reality faced by female engineers throughout Latin America, the paths traveled, the challenges they must overcome because they are women and how they converge their professional role while being mothers, wives, friends and daughters.
