HUB of Commercialization and Trasnfer of Technology for the Americas (Organization of American States)

The Department of Economic Development of the Executive Secretariat for Integral Development (SEDI) of the Organization of American States (OAS), the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation of Panama (SENACYT) and the Technological University of Panama (UTP) call on professionals and public and private institutions of the OAS Member States to apply to be part of the HUB for Commercialization and Transfer of Technology for the Americas.

Objectives

• Link professionals, institutional leaders from the Americas, and leaders in knowledge generation, management, transfer, adaptation and commercialization of technology with professionals and institutions of other OAS Member States in order to expand the network of partners and strategic regional collaboration on these issues;
• Facilitate the exchange of experiences and success/failure cases in the international context—with emphasis on the Americas—between institutions and professionals to manage the commercialization and transfer of technology from idea to market;
• Accelerate multidirectional connections between ecosystems of innovation and entrepreneurship in the Americas;
• Complement and share the knowledge and experiences of professionals and regional leaders on ways of using intellectual property and technology prospection; design and implementation of technology-based business models; valuation and profitability analysis of technologies; development and validation of technologies; marketing strategies; marketing tools; considerations on the economic and social impact; value chain and regional and global markets;
• To promote the generation of added value and diversification of the economies of the Americas based on the incorporation of technology in value chains.
