The world of work and technical education are increasingly changing in the context of ‘digitization’ / ‘automation’. Among other things, the classical subjects, the contents and curricula of the engineering subjects are up for discussion. New concepts of engineering education are developed worldwide and tested internationally. The integration of digitized teaching / learning elements changes the role of lecturers and the importance of classroom teaching is being discussed again. In education and training thus open up opportunities for a meaningful change between presence and self-study. Which skills are necessary in dealing with (digital) media, which understanding is expedient and which didactic settings are promising?
