We wish to inform you of our IFEES call for elections where we will elect five members for a two-year term in the IFEES Executive Committee. Candidates must be endorsed by the leadership of a IFEES member organization (not observers); membership dues must have been paid for 2019 – 2020. Candidates are asked to provide their bio, photo, and brief statement of rationale for their candidacy by October 14, 2020. For the first time, we are also requesting each candidate to prepare, send us a two-to-three minute video sharing their experience, appropriate background, vision, etc.
- Secretariat will send ballots to the IFEES members by October 23, 2020. We will send videos prepared by candidates latest by October 23, 2020.
- Votes by IFEES members may be submitted to the Secretariat by November 11, 2020.
- During our IFEES Member Assembly between November 17 -19, our president, Ramiro Jordan will facilitate a “Question and Answer” session with all candidates instead of our usual verbal presentation made by candidates.
- IFEES members who have not yet voted by October 16 will need to cast their ballot by November 23, 2020.
- Results of election will be announced latest by November 25, 2020.
- There will be an IFEES Executive Committee meeting during the week of December 7. It will be chaired by the new incoming IFEES president, Alaa Ashmawy, and will include Former IFEES president, Ramiro Jordan, the members of the newly elected Executive Committee and the Secretary General.
The Voting Committee will be chaired by Soma Chakrabarti and include two additional IFEES members and the Secretary General (non-voting).
I ask that you send materials: brief bio (paragraph format, please), photo, brief statement of rationale for candidacy, and a two-to-three minute video describing your background and vision before October 14, 2020 to our IFEES Chair, Soma Chakrabarti (soma.chakrabarti@ansys.com), and myself (h.hoyer.ifees@gedc.info) copying Aliki Pappas (a.pappas@ifees.net).
